Read.me for XCUTABLE sub-directory These executables are DOS programs but they run very nicely in a Windows 95/98 environment. In the User's Guide a description is given of how this can be done advantageously. The program file DOSXMSF.EXE must be in the path or in the same directory with the executable program when it is run. That program is here provided in the FOR directory, rather than here, for space reasons. The array sizes set during the compilation are as follows: Executable IDSZ IRS NATS MSZ NOV DB9807a1 24000 8192 256 256 8192 DB9807a2 8000 4096 128 96 512 Note: Although it is stated in the User's Guide, p. 10, that three executables are provided in this subdirectory, only two are actually provided. The reasoning is that PC's today are so powerful and have so much memory that most of them can run the larger version. For the users whose PC's cannot handle it, we also provide the smaller version. If neither version is satisfactory, the user is invited to compile other executable versions that will fill the need. R. A. Young 20.5.99
