EQUIV, given a spacegroup: equivalent positions, extinctions/systematic absences, equivalent reflections are listed. Individual HKLs and atomic coordinates can be inserted to obtain this output.

EQUIV is very simple to use and gives instant feedback on what it is doing and can be obtained off the web at the the LMGP (Laboratoire des Materiaux et du Génie Physique de l'Ecole Supérieure de Physique de Grenoble http://www.inpg.fr/LMGP/)program suite site at http://www.ccp14.ac.uk/ccp/web-mirrors/lmgp-laugier-bochu/

Click on the EQUIV icon or run the program via the windows explorer/windows file manager to bring up the EQUIV starting interface.

  • Click on the desired cell type, then select one of the desired spacegroups; which will then output the required information.

  • Input of either HKLs or Positions will then generate the relevant equivalents.
